Take 5 Yellow/Green Shirtings

I used the Take 5 pattern to create this quilt of men's shirtings and a vintage pillow case. It is a really comfy, soft quilt. There are even two usable pockets in this quilt for holding a book or kindle or whatever!

I quilted this with an edge-to-edge design that gave lots of texture. The batting was Winline 80/20 cotton/poly and lends itself well to nice shrinkage and wonderful drape. The backing is a buttery soft cotton sheet.

Stars and Swirls

Here is a Crazy Nine Patch with stars and swirls edge-to-edge quilting.

Tina's daughter made this quilt top and wanted the quilting to resemble the swirls that were in the fabric. She prefers looser quilting and with Warm 'n Natural batting, this quilt was sure to please!

Indian Summer

This quilt was pieced from a layer cake and charm pack. There are raw edges on this quilt top. Carol wanted an overall since it is a bed quilt for her son.

We chose 'Indian Summer' by Patricia Ritter of Urbanelementz. This not only fit the theme of the quilt, but added terrific texture as well, as this pantograph is fairly dense.
